Circuitos de la Biodiversidad

As part of COP 16, Cali, as the host city, presents the Biodiversity Circuit, three city spaces for locals and visitors to enjoy the world’s most important biodiversity event.

These spaces aim to help citizens reconnect with nature and recognize Cali’s artistic, cultural, and educational potential.

The three citadels will be located in the north, east, and south of Cali, ensuring that everyone can access the various free activities that will take place.

Educational Citadel

This citadel will bring together high school students in grades 9, 10, and 11 from both public and private schools in Cali to discuss environmental education.

It will be a space for discussion, knowledge-sharing, and empowerment regarding the present and future challenges of biodiversity and sustainable development.

Date: October 23 to 25

Time: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Location: Los Almendros Sports Complex, Calle 62 #2-123.

 

Citadel of Reconciliation

This citadel will focus on artistic circulation, aimed at recognizing and strengthening cultural expressions in the region. The Citadel of Reconciliation expects to gather more than 6,000 people.

Date: October 25 to 27

Time: 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Location: Bulevar de Oriente.

Citadel of Biodiversity

This citadel will be a space for entrepreneurship. It will offer a complete experience with arts and crafts, cultural and ecological initiatives, and green businesses, alongside performances by local and national artists, to more than 40,000 visitors.

Additionally, this citadel will be connected with the World Salsa Festival qualifiers, allowing visitors to enjoy and experience the best salsa dancers in the world.

Time: 10 a.m. a 12 a.m.  (concerts) – 10 a.m. a 9 p.m. (entrepreneurship fair)
